Ford has patented a new detection system

Recently, for example , the Ford concern presented a new development – recognition system, but not for pedestrians, but for trains! According to the patent, the technology can be implemented in two ways, each of which allows the on-board electronics to detect the presence of a threat from the train.
In the first case, engineers suggest installing sensors at the crossing and a detector of their signal on the car. By exchanging information with sensors, on-board electronics will be able to understand whether a train is approaching. In the second case – the use of on-board vehicle radars that will interact with the crossing infrastructure.
